last nights debate had an estimate 100 million viewers... competing against monday night football. here in wisconsin- many attending viewing parties to see how their candidates would fair. angelica joins us from the newsroom with more. trump supporters in waukesha county watched last night's debates at the party's county headquarters. kb 'i think its going to sway those undecided voters and bring those people on board.' debate-- but many trump supporters felt at ease once things got started. those who watched approved of his plans for the economy and keeping jobs in the u-s. and there were even applause when he accused clinton of being a career politician. campaign officials say his popularity is growing-- saying yard signs have been hard to keep in stock. now hes starting to make a stand over these last couple days. this is not tolerable or were not gonna tolerate this, where have you been all along since all of

thursday. and hillary clinton's daughter chelsea will be in wisconsin on friday. details about her trip still haven't be released. but we'll be sure to post them on our website-- fox 6 now dot com. happening overnight-- milwaukee police are investigating after a shooting near 67th and keefe. investigators say a 29-year-old woman was in her front yard when she heard gun shots down the street. she then realized that she had been hit. the woman was taken to the hospital injuries. police continue to search for those responsible. happening today-- the trial for one of the men accused in the death of a five-year- old girl continues. laylah petersen was watching tv with her grandparents inside a home near 58th and hampton in november of 2014. prosecutors say carl barrett junior and another man opened fire-- killing the little girl. their intended victim actually lived four blocks away. yesterday-- laylah's grandmother was overcome with emotion testifying about that night. i crawled on the ground and when

911 and next thing you know robert says laylah's been hit barrett is one of three men charged with laylah's death. he and another man allegedly fired the guns. the third man, the alleged getaway driver was also charged. in milwaukee-- a 12 year old boy is shot on on the city's police say the little boy was sitting in a car near holton and locust-- when someone in another car starting firing. he is expected to survive. no suspects are in custody. and police are still trying to track down the suspect in an august homicide. police believe this man stabbed 23- year-old worn jones near 28th and lisbon. these pictures were taken about a block from the murder scene. if you recognize him-- give police a call. more money for police-- we hear

a woman's body was found in the parking lot of the orthopedic hospital of wisconsin around 5:30 yesterday morning. that's just off port washington road. police say the 19-year-old victim was shot to death. neighbors were shocked to hear what happened. 'surprising, shocking, hurtful, our young people. with all the things thats going on, im speechless.' police say they don't think the public is in any danger. the orthopedic hospital of wisconsin did not want to comment. pa mayor tom barrett presented his 2017 budget to the common council. while barrett's budget includes more money for the police department-- staffing levels stay the same. that's because of increasing pension costs-- and less money from the state. barrett says milwaukee's police force is still "well staffed"--- with one- thousand eight-hundred and eighty- eight officers. "this year, not even for the next year's budget, this year alone we are putting 127 million dollars more into the police department and its pension than we did in

kieth scott. angelica joins us from the newsroom with new information. public outrage ignited after police shot and killed 43-year old keith scott. police say scott had a gun and ignored several warnings to drop it.... his family says he was unarmed. now, protesters are calling for the mayor and police chief to resign. saying promises made by city officials to be transparent have been broken. police did release body-cam and dashboard videos showing parts of the incident. however offer clear evidence that scott was holding a gun. police also released evidence photos of a loaded and cocked weapon they say scott was carrying-- as well as ankle holster they say he was wearing. kim and jessob. back to you. in south carolina-- jury selection will resume today for the man accused of killing nine people last year at a church in charleston. 22-year-old dylann roof is charged with dozens of federal offenses -- including hate-crime charges. prosecutors say he targeted his victims

death penalty. his trial is expected to begin after thanksgiving. the midwest and the southwest are dealing with heavy flooding after heavy rain. iowa and texas being hit the hardest fox's kelly wright, has more. hundreds more people leave their homes along rivers in iowa... due to rising flood waters and evacuation orders... including in cedar rapids where homes and businesses are threatened. pomeranz says: "public safety is so as you've all heard there is an evacuation order. what we're asking for is that the citizens stay away from inundation area." thousands have already left their homes. iowa's governor has toured the flood damage... and plans to make a request for federal dollars for the recovery. branstad says: "i learned a long time ago as governor if you have a disaster in your state try to get there as soon as you can reassure people provide the

a milwaukee family -- experiencing more than their fair share of tragedy. they lost a son in afghanistan nearly one year ago. now ... they've lost a second son. fox six's jenna sachs with what happened. nats for the family of a soldier ... burial at arlington national cemetery brings both honor and heartbreak. in november ... a milwaukee family laid to rest 21-year-old airman quinn johnson-harris. he'd died afghanistan. his brother ... jeremy johnson ... took this picture by his grave. now ... almost exactly one year after his brother's passing ... his family is preparing for jeremy's burial as well. to lose another brother, no one ever thinks about. it. fa-tia johnson spoke to fox by facetime from indiana ... where she's flown to identify her brother's body. it's definitely hard because, quinn you know, passed away and it's almost been that one year point in 5 days, so we were all planning

fans in miami last night. the miami marlins honor pitcher jose fernandez who passed away this weekend in a boating accident. at the end of last night's game against the new york mets-- the whole marlins team came out to the mound. to honor fernandez his teammates left their hats on the mound. fernandez was just 24-years-old. "i'll be a 102 in december!" ride of a century for this man in arizona. 101-year-old ray weser has spent his life riding harley davidson motorcycles. he even worked for the company for 24 years. to commemorate the man's dedication-- harley teamed up with the local v-f-w. sending ray on a ride through the streets of phoenix.
